Dr. Lisa Weiss
Dr. Lisa Weiss is a Vero Beach native and physical therapist at Florida Spine. With a background in physical therapy, athletic training, strength and conditioning, and sports rehabilitation, Dr. Weiss works with patients of all ages to improve movement, restore function, reduce discomfort, and return to the activities that are important to them.
A Vero Beach Native
Dr. Weiss grew up in Vero Beach and graduated from Vero Beach High School in 2001, where she played soccer and lacrosse for the Fighting Indians.
She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Florida in 2006, earning a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training.
Dr. Weiss was then accepted into the Kenny Howard Athletic Training Fellowship at Auburn University. While working as an athletic trainer for local high schools and Auburn club sports, she earned a Master of Education in Kinesiology in 2008.
She returned home to Vero Beach and served as Head Athletic Trainer at St. Edward’s School from 2008 through 2015.
Dr. Weiss continued her education at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, where she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2017.

Dr. Weiss enjoys working with patients of all ages and brings extensive training in movement, rehabilitation, and injury recovery to her work at Florida Spine.

Her background allows her to look beyond an individual symptom and evaluate how strength, movement, balance, mobility, and function may be contributing to a patient’s problem.
Physical Therapy at Florida Spine
At Florida Spine, Dr. Weiss provides individualized physical therapy for patients recovering from injuries, dealing with musculoskeletal problems, experiencing balance or mobility difficulties, or working to regain strength and function.
Treatment is based on the individual patient. Dr. Weiss evaluates each patient’s condition, functional limitations, and goals and develops a rehabilitation program designed around those needs.
Her goal is not simply to help patients feel better, but to help them return safely and confidently to their specific activities while promoting long-term movement and a healthy lifestyle.

When she isn’t working with patients, Dr. Weiss enjoys spending time with her husband, Justin, and their daughters, Lily and Hannah.
She enjoys visiting family and friends, traveling to Auburn football games, watching Tampa Bay Rays baseball, playing tennis, and staying active in the Vero Beach community.
